Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment

Question by joe: Why was the drug, zelnorm discontinued in US?
Zelnorm was the best drug for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It used to provide me tremendous relief. But then it suddenly got banned in US without any specific reason.

Now i don’t get relief from IBS using bentyl and antidepressants.

Thats crazy to ban an effective medication, which helps control symptoms.

It was taken off the market because of an increased incidence of heart attacks & strokes.
