with these in it:

The organic ingredients we use to make our frozen yogurt were produced without the use of antibiotics, synthetic growth hormones such as (rBGH) and toxic pesticides.

PROBIOTICS – literally meaning “for life” – are active live cultures, found in our frozen yogurt, which according to studies, can be beneficial to your health in numerous ways.

Question by planty: Does Activia yogurt by Dannon really work?
You know, the kind that promotes digestive regularity? (Bifidus Regularis) Does it help persons with irritable bowel syndrome?

Best answer:

Answer by sin titulo
they key is *fiber*

the average recommended amount is 24-35 grams a day. most americans only get 12..if even that.

dont buy into the stupid commercials and claims that “this product will do (whatever!!) for you!!!!” instead, why not try to eat more fruit and vegetables, as well as whatever high fiber grains/other foods you like.

whats called ‘friendly bacteria’ …as found in yogurt, raw foods, and various supplements….does definitely help digestion and your overall health.
though i wouldnt rely on a commercial or advertisement to tell me whats good for me.

Question by Mpav: Explaining the effect of Activia yogurt in the gastrointestinal tract?
Does anyone know anything about what exactly the probiotics in Activia do in the gastrointestinal tract or the intestinal transit? Do you want to have along total transit time or a short total transit time? I’ve been reading http://www.activia.us.com/pdf/Act_scientific_summary.pdf?v1 this summary but i can’t really figure out exactly what they mean. Thanks!

Answer by tranquil
As claimed, it helps in the maintainance of the intestinal flora necessary for us to function normally. The probiotics help primarily with maintaining regular bowel movement.

People with altered bowel movements are the elderly, on medication (such as antibiotics), sedentary and those with issues with digestion.

A short total transit time will produce diarrhea, while a long transit time will cause constipation. The normal digestion from the mouth to the anus takes from 48 to 72 hours. Anything within this time frame is acceptable.

not unless they advertise it. If it did have that, it would be a great marketing tool.
