Question by : What are the chances for 18 year old to have cancer?
I am an 18-year old male. Please read.

I’ve been having this lower dull abdominal discomfort/dull pain for nearly 2 months now. I am now starting to get worried that a tumor might be growing in my intestinal area because this discomfort has been present for 2 months! I have never had a problem that long before.

The discomfort is not painful or stabbing. It’s just a dull, consistent pain that is very discomforting in my lower abdominal region.

Apart from the discomfort itself, I don’t have many other symptoms.

-No weight loss or loss of appetite
-No blood in stools
-No urine problems
-No constipation

Only mild diarrhea. My stools are loose and they float.

One thing to note is that I’ve been pretty stressed out during the months of September 2011 and early October 2011 and occasionally get tension headaches from my stress. And I am also a pretty anxious person overall. But how can stress cause discomfort in my intestinal area, if this discomfort is in fact related to stress?

Before you say “Go to the doctor” and what not, I’ve been to the doctor twice now and they believe it is “IBS” (irritable bowel syndrome). As much as I hope it’s IBS and not something as serious as cancer, my mind just can’t seem to stop worrying!

What do you think?

I think you should be treated for your anxiety disorder, not just your IBS.

You do not have cancer.

Question by Milez: Bowel Movement Question, Please Help! 16 year old Male!!! 6′5 and 145 pounds.?
I have recently (the past few weeks) been having green shits, i thought we’d get right to the main idea. I will eat something and find myself in the bathroom roughly 10 minutes later, which means im probably not retaining any food which cannot be healthy for me. I basically peed green poop today, disgusting yes, concerning yes. I don’t really know what to do yet, i thought mabye asking here before going to a doctor would reassure me somehow, prove me right please. I was just googling this subject moments ago and found myself staring at a list of reasons why this may be happening, which was concerning. •Laxative use

•Antibiotic use

•Medication side effects

•Food poisoning

•Celiac disease

•Ulcerative colitis

•Crohn’s disease

•Malabsorption

•Irritable bowel syndrome

•Bacterial overgrowth

•Infectious diarrhea – especially salmonella and giardia

•Traveler’s diarrhea

•Cancer

is what i found, hopefully i dont have any of these problems as i am not taking antibiotics or any other medications. PLEASE HELP.

It could have just been a mild case of food poisoning. If your body doesn’t absord iron, then you will poop green, that could be another cause.

The fact that’s it’s green diarhrea is concerning though. I’ve found several websites that say that green diahrea can mean there’s some issue. You need to contact a doctor and maybe have some blood tests done.

Good luck and I hope your ok!

Question by rpsfu_83: I am a 23 year old, suffering with chronic bad breath for as long back as I can remember. It has been getting?
progressively worse.I have tried probiotics, chlorophyll, parsley, detox products, oxygenating products from Dr.Katz, changing my diet to exclude meats, dairy.I had also been to a fresh breath clinic where they took samples from my teeth and tongue, which concluded that I have”very high numbers of gram positive cocci and bacilli. As well very very high numbers of gram-negative cocci and bacilli,a moderate amount of vibrios”.They then prescribed antibiotic mouthwashes and antimicrobial rinses like chlorohexadine that did not work (and did not seem to worsen the problem either.I find that the breath has been getting worse with age in general).I did not measure very high on the halimeter, which tests for VSCs.The odour is not sulphuric, but rather is of a putrid nature.I do not suffer from post-nasal drip. I have no cavaties, but I build up tartar very quickly, and was told that tartar builds up in basic environment,as does odor causing bacteria. My oral hygeine is very good.any solutions/help?
