Question by : Why would my muscles in my back, shoulders and neck hurt everyday?
Everyday My lower back, neck, and shoulders hurt normally in the evening and I don’t understand why im only 18 years old. I do have bad IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) but I don’t see how this would effect my muscles, also I have been tested for crones twice so I know that cannot be the problem and I don’t know what my other options are. Please help if you can. thanks

do sit over a computer or book most the day? I do for school and I get neck, shoulder and back pain, due to incorrect posture and being slouched over homework.
See if you can go to a registered massage therapist to help work out those muscles or see a physiotherapist to see if they can help loosen them up.

Question by : Would it really be worth it for me to see a nutritionist?
I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome last Monday and I was wondering if they could really do anything for me? Seeing how different people have different triggers, would it really be beneficial to me or would it just be a waste of time and money?

You will need to learn what triggers the IBS. Once you learn that you just have to avoid those foods. Also be aware of spices. Spicy food is usually a trigger as well. Have mine under control pretty well.

Question by Delphi50: I would like to hear real stories of nicotine withdrawal by heavy, longtime smokers who quit.?
I recently quit smoking, cold turkey after 20 years. It has been over 2 months now and I am still suffering from a whole complex of withdrawal symptoms which include: Heart palpitations, anxiety, depression, dizziness, irritable bowel syndrome, weight gain & strong craving for nicotine. I’ve been back and forth to doctors and all testing shows that I am basically healthy and they’ve advised me that these are classic symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. But I feel very ill and fragile. I’ve been prescribed anti anxiety/anti depressant drugs. I don’t wish to take them though. I’m willing to try and wait for my body to stablize on its own. My question tho, is: HOW LONG could this take?? I would like to hear from people who’ve had the same or similar symptoms. Especially if you are a woman in menopause or postmenopause. How did you deal with it?…Did you resume smoking?…If so, did these symptoms disappear when you did? How are you doing at present?
