Question by bparham: Phantom Pregnancy Kicks or Something Worse?
Okay, so I have a five month old and lately I have been feeling kick like movements in my lower abdomen. I’ve had my period, I have an IUD in, and the pregnancy test all came back negative. Its not my gallbladder, its not hemorrhoids, and its not Irritable Bowel Disease or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Does anyone know what could be going on with my body?

Question by 2010 FYRE & REIGN: I have 3 dogs, they all eat the same foods but one’s poop smells FAR worse than the other 2 dogs; why?
It seems like a weird thing but since I’m the one doing poop duty in the yard, I know. He otherwise seems VERY healthy. Should I get him some probiotics or something? Or is it just something I need to live with?
Best answer:
Answer by heaglesnaggles Dogs are individuals. Each dog may respond differently. I’ve heard of many cases where each dog had their own food. You may want to consider changing his diet, he may have a sensitive stomach or it could be the age. Or it could be possible he’s taking in more foreign objects that you may not see.
What do you think? Answer below!

Question by Candy: My stomach has been hurting for 5 days, & it gets worse & worse each day. What should I do?
1st 3 days were pain, gas & bloating. & I couldn’t make any bowel movements. Yesterday, it started hurting worse, & I finally made the bowel movements, but the stools were hard, painful & big, & I was bleeding. Last night here on Y!A, someone told me that I might have an anal fissure. It felt like my rectum AND vagina were going to both split in half. 1 of the bowels was THAT big & hard.
Today, it got worse. Worse stomach pains, feeling sicker after eating, I made hard bowels @ least 3 times, & the 4th time, it was hard, & then finally diarrhea-like. It felt like I started to feel Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms again, & I was feeling nauseated. After eating breakfast, my stomach was hurting so badly that I had trouble breathing & felt like I was going to throw up.
As of now, I feel pressure & pulse-like pain in my rectum (it feels like gas pressure), & earlier today, I felt the hemorrhoids, as usual. I had to cancel my doctor’s appointment today. I was afraid to eat lunch, & I’m afraid to eat dinner. My stomach doesn’t hurt as much now, but I also keep burping. I hope I don’t vomit. I’m lying down in the bed on my laptop. I feel SO bad right now. My anus feels weird and painful, & I feel like I can barely get up and do anything.
My stomach was RUMBLING earlier, feeling like an earthquake.

Question by scary shari: ACUPUNCTURE: feeling worse before I feel better (mood)?
I started getting acupuncture 2 or 3 weeks ago. I’ve done a TON of research on it and am very impressed w/ the variety of health & wellness issue it can help. My main ones are insomnia, anxiety, depression, ADHD, asthma, acid reflux, and irritable bowel syndrome. None are severe (thankfully!) although some are more problematic than others.
My question: within the last week, I’ve noticed my mood is lower than it normally is. It’s not like I walk around crying, and I don’t act bitchy. I just feel less happy than usual, a little bit “blue”, and less motivated to do things. It’s not severe, but I can tell it’s different than my usual way of feeling.
My acupuncturist said stuff like this happens to some folks during their first few weeks of treatment, because changes are going on in the body that it’s not used to, and sometimes that makes a person feel “unbalanced” (for lack of a better word).
Anyone else notice changes like this upon starting acupuncture? If so, for how long?
P.S. (I ran out of room above) — For those who are familiar with the “retracing” phenomenon that happens to some people when they first start going to a CHIROPRACTOR (it sure happened with me!), would you say that what I described with acupuncture is a similar concept? It seems to me that it is.
P.P.S. To Heaven L and others who feel as she does — I’m not claiming acupuncture can CURE my ailments, or anybody’s. I said it can HELP the ailments. As in, improve them. And there really is a wealth of information, including scientific tests/experiements, that PROVE how acupuncture can help certain ailments, especially chronic pain.
Heck, anything that has been academically studied and professionall practiced for more than 2000 years, and is STILL in use today, is not simply quackery! Look it up on Wikipedia and prepare to be impressed.
amembal4444 is right; this would all be in better perspective if I included my age. I am 35. No menopause symptoms in sight — my menstrual cycle is as regular now as it was at age 25.

Question by cyanidedaquari: I have IBS and am in constant pain, but pain meds just make it worse?
I am 25 years old and I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
for the past year and a half, i have tried every single modified diet i could and nothing has helped
I am in so much pain that my doctor prescribed pain medication, i have been on everything from Oxycontin to morphine but all these medications seem to do is land me back in the emergency room with blood in my stool
Please help me, have any of you faced the same situation? What did you do about it?
Best answer:
Answer by syl c. Why would anyone treat IBS with powerful painkillers that mask the underlying problem? You need to see a different dr an gastroenterologist who specalizes in this condition. You need to treat the problem not the side effects that associate with this or any other inflammation of the intestines. Your problem is just geting worse because the painkillers are enabling the condition to flourish. See a specialist and get tests done in order to get proper treatment and the correct medications. Good luck.
