Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment

I have just bought a antibiodic for intestinal bacterial infection for my zebra finch. I haven’t used it yet, but I was wondering where I can get a probiodic. Can you buy probiotics in pet stores? I was wondering if they are available at Jack’s Pets or PetSmart. Please only anwser if you know what I am talking about.

I need to find hard core Probiotics…the kind that are refrigerated…in Los Angeles..near Burbank. Anyone know of good places to find this?

As a physician with a naturopathic bent, I use probiotics often in many different patient types including all types of irritable bowel, immune compromised and patients undergoing antibiotic treatment.
There are no traditional medicine clinical studies that support this use, but I often get positive results. One thing for sure is that are very safe and relatively inexpensive. The company that makes the supplements that I use add probiotics to many of thier products particularly there multivitamin.
They are available at all health food stores, and one of the responses above metioned some natural sources, but I usually use supplemental sources for convenience. Of course yogurt is a common probiobiotic source
