oily foods tend to aggravate IBS in some individuals. Also,if a patient has celiac disease/non tropical sprue, wheat is a definite no-no.
assuming if a patient has IBS+celiac disease, consumption of wheat will cause the immune system to act up.swelling of the intestinal lining, severe inflammations(due to an allergy like effect to gluten prteins in wheat) all lead to abdominal pain, flatulence, severe diarrhoea(possibly bloody),fatigue and so on.
