Question by umm hi<333: Urinary difficulties, Vaginal Burning?
Hey, I have been having vaginal burning/irritation for some time. Recently, I woke up with massive pain in my lower abdomen. I went to the doctor and after feeling around and he agreed something was wrong with my bladder. He gave me meds for a UTI and sent me to the lab to get a urine analysis. It came back negative. I skipped my period last month as well. I just got it and it burned to even put a tampon in. In addition, I have been feeling very uncomfortable while and after I urinate. I have not been sexually active in over a year. In addition, I have been having digestive issues as well which was diagnosed as internal hemorrhoids and irritable bowel syndrome. I naturally figured that nausea and stomach pains were symptoms of my digestive problem but it may be otherwise. What can this possibly be? I have been tested for chlamydia and that was negative. Can this even be an STD since I have not been sexually active in over a year?

I don’t want to scare you and I’m no doctor but you should not take this to lightly. Some conditions that linger untreated, can cause infertility. That might mean no children ! Seeing how you have skipped a period, you should get aggressive in getting to the bottom of this, this is not good. There are different kinds of STD’s . You can have one and not know it, even after a year. That chlamydia test, is NOT !00% accurate. It is possible that you got a false negative, however slight, it can happen. Discomfort and PAIN are not to be ignored in this case. Is your doctor a GP or gyno’? You should see a Gyno’.. Go back to your doctor and or go to another. The sooner the better. Seeing one doctor only, especially when their first treatment you did not produce signs of relief. That would get my my concerns up, big time. If you are not that concerned, why should your doctor be. Your doctor is not going to suffer the consequences if your treatment is not right, YOU ARE. You are responsible to get proper treatment not your doctor, you!. Doctors are just people and might not spot a serious problem as quickly as they should. They see many patients every day and can fall into a routine where they loose their edge or drop their guard. SS

Question by deansmommy: Discharge while on Metronidazole Vaginal Gel?
I’ve been on the antibiotic for 4 days and on the second or third night I discovered that there is a creamy like substance in my vagina. My first thought is that it’s a yeast infection (never had one before) but I have no other symptoms of one and I’ve been taking probiotics even long before I started the Metronidazole. Could it just be the actual remnents of the gel? I know I should see my doctor, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

its probably vaginal discharge. 90% of women out there have it every day of their life. Yours could be caused by your medication but you should visit your GP if you are worried

I know that prebiotics feed probiotics, but since they’re a type of sugar, is it safe for vaginal use?
