you are advised to take probiotics after antibiotics to replace the ‘good’ bacteria and prevent you from getting an infection from any possible antibiotic resistant bacteria particularly C. diff
there is no point taking probiotics during your course because they will get killed

I’m on cephalexin (keflex) for a bladder infection, and i was wondering when I should take my probiotic (culturelle) – right after I take my antibiotic, right before I take it, etc. ?

I want to take three different probiotics. Would it be bad to take them all during the same day, once a day (not together though)?

Isn’t there like a war going on in your stomach? Is it best to wait and finish antibiotics before taking probiotics? Or the other way around maybe?

I recently have been prescribed antibiotics for acne and was wondering if taking probiotics now would be pointless because the antibiotics will kill all the bacteria.I know I need this good bacteria, but should I wait and save my money for after I’m off the antibiotics?
