Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment

I thought I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, but started having period symptoms so I pretty much just figured my period was preparing to come. It’s still 7 days away, but the past few days and especially today I noticed my bowels slowling. I have irritable bowel syndrome and i’m on medication specifically for me to not have constipation, since i’ve suffered so badly in the past… Thats why I know i’m getting constipated. I had diareha a week ago, and thats what normally happens in the time frame.. but it normally gets worse and doesn’t go away until after my period is over.. So very odd it didn’t stay for more then that one day. My areolas are larger and light brown vrs my normal light pink. Sometimes its hard to tell. Last week I also noticed blue veins going threw my left areola.. then 3-4 days ago I started getting purple ones in my right and a little blue. I’ve been having small headaches through the day for the past 2 days. I’m not taking anything for it, it’s nor terrible just bad enough to annoy me. Maybe i’m pregnant, Maybe it’s just pms? Has anybody else experienced this? If you have, what was the outcome? I’ve taken pregnancy tests but it’s just way to early to test. I have 42-46 day cycles so thats why its so much more of a wait for me. I thought I had some implantation bleeding 11th, 12th, and saw some after sex on the 13th. Very little on tp. Been having some weird feelings in my lower belly, kinda like cramps but not at all painful. Just noticeable…Any thoughts? Please don’t be rude. oh and ive been having a really hard time getting to sleep and falling asleep. i’ve noticed it for the past 2 weeks. I go to bed around 2-3am, and when hubby wakes me up to kiss me goodbye at 6:15 I can’t go back to sleep. Even though i’m exhausted, extremely tired..Oh and since the 14th Ive been a bit queasy, but it was off and on.. Then yesterday it was with me all day. Not enough to make me puke, its just like my stomache is flopping around. =( Off and on so far today. It hurts to have Hubbys weight on me during sex without feeling a pressure feeling..nor can I lay flat on my stomache. It just doesn’t feel good, a lot of pressure.. Not really pain though. Ive had a little bit of clear/white watery in texture, but thin not thick. no odor, I don’t have a yeast infectiong. Starting to feel like peeing is becoming more frequent.. Sometimes I lose my appetite all together, or only want chocolate/sweet things.. I’m usually a very healthy eater, though I do have a sweet tooth! But when I get hungry, its bad. It causes me to feel sick to my stomach (literally hunger pains in my tummy)

i’m getting really pissed off with all the negative feed back. I don’t KNOW if that stuff are signs of pregnancy or not, i could make a damn appointment but it won’t be until ATLEAST 2 weeks! I don’t want someone to agree with me, I want some ADVICE. You know the place on yahoo answers dedicated to women who are TRYING TO CONCEIVE. God forbid we get nervous, scared, need advise, or whatever it is on during this time in our life but if you don’t like it, or feels this kind of talk isn’t your cup of tee then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Listen these people are not doctors. you are asking advise from people sitting at the computer. Give me a break this is not a question it is your medical history. See a medical doctor and a shrink.

Not that I know of, but Inflammatory Bowel Disease does. So, if you have diarrhea, pain, fever…get checked out by a Doctor.

Question by shoptheflower: Probiotic bills and capsules packs say that they have a certain amount of live bacteria at the time of?
manufacturing. How or do they stay alive while on the shelf? They never state shelf life. Am I just taking a bunch of dead probiotics that do absolutely nothing?
Also, if I mix a serving of a live probiotic product, from dannon,
with yogart, will more of them grow in the yougart? Yogart is a lot cheaper than the product, so I wondered if I could just buy it once and keep the organizims growin by adding some to new yogart every week.

buy only probiotics from the refrigerated section of the health food store.

if you take the probiotics as directed..the whole bottle…once every 6 months or after a course of antibiotics you will be ok..no need to try to grow in the dannon

Question by Question Queen Mentally Special!: Do any of you women suffer Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)-ESPECIALLY around the time of the month?
It’s very disabling for me. I never know when it’s gonna sneak up on me, & it happens SO fast! The pain intensifies by the second. I had an IBS episode @ 2 AM this morning, & usually I feel like I’m losing my life-like I’m dying. It’s so unbearable. & when the symptoms creep up on me in public, I have a hard time getting to use the restroom because most places don’t let you use their bathroom if you’re not buying anything. 1 guy threatened to have me prosecuted. The stuff is so bad that when I doo-doo in public, the doo-doo ALONE will stop up the toilet before I can even wipe. This is my worst nightmare! It started in December. It makes me literally feel like crying, & 1 time I actually vomited. I wonder what I can do to reduce the risk of the symptoms. I eat fibrous foods. Many professionals tell me I need fiber in my diet, so I eat my fruits & veggies, drink water, exercise when I can, & I eat Frosted Mini-Wheats. I can’t deal with this. I just got off my cycle. It’s worse by then.

Have you gotten a second opinion from another doctor that can maybe give you some medication to ease the pain? If they won’t prescribe you anything, would tylenol or advil help? I don’t have this problem and I don’t ever want it by how you described it. Good luck.

Question by Just Win Baby: I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, does it lead to Erectile dysfunction as well?? both came at the same time.?
During this these past 3yrs, I have the expierenced the cause of and symptoms of IBS and I’m tired of it. During this span I have experienced some form of ED as well. I have 3 doctors visits with no results of improvement to stop this. I do believe it is chiefly caused to Stress that I believe Im not aware about in my life AND due to a long term physicological situation that I have dealing with over the last 3yrs – where I may have some form of depression over it, inside me. So, If I have clearly have IBS, is it possible it has effected other main areas of my body as well? Due to my ED situation as well? I am 38 yrs old.

I don’t think so . My husband has IBS and hes fine.
