The health shop is not qualified to tell you anything. Check with your gastroenterologist first. I have two hiatal hernias and do not hesitate to ask questions. It can save you a lot of trouble.

And I’ve taken pro-biotics before, and had fairly decent results.

I will just wait until I am finished with my antibiotic to take them.

Well the antibiotics will probably kill off the bacteria in the probiotics, so it could end up being a pointless excercise, it won’t do anything bad if that’s what you’re wondering.

I am using it with AllicinMAX as I understand it can kill the good and bad bacteria.

It is too expensive to do all the time, so can I just do it for a bit and then stop suddenly or will my body get used to them and need them from then on?

Hello. Taking vitamins is good, but doctors say it is better to get your nutrition from food. If you feel that you can’t do that, then taking vitamins would be the next best thing. Take care

They help since food is not dirty enough so we do not get enough soil organisms. I use a greens drinks that has 9 different ones. When was the last time you pulled a carrot out of the ground, brushed it off and ate it. Greens drinks are 10 times better than just pro-biotics. Your gastroenterolist sounds lovely…let me book an appointment with him/her…the 10th day of never is available lol. Ditch the cholesterol lowering drugs as they have been proven to not show any results in preventing heart disease…all a con to get your $$$$$. Statin drugs suppress the immune system for a start.

Actually, yes, the probiotics help quite a bit to control yeast growth. In fact, the best way to prevent yeast growth issues (yeast infections, thrush, etc) is to take probiotics on a regular basis.
I don’t see why any herbs that cleanse candida would kill probiotics unless it is an antibiotic (which medicinal/beneficial herbs aren’t). If you could E-mail me a list of the ingredients or a link to a site with the ingredients for that product, I can take a look for you.
In any case, I wish you luck!

[edit]: Yeah, those are mostly for health of your liver, urinary tract/kidneys, immune system, and other parts of the body. I don’t see any reason those would hurt probiotics, not to mention the fact that if they killed the probiotics, that would encourage the Candida to come back later anyway. You’re good to go with that and probiotics.
