please help me. ill give you a list of my symptoms, and you tell me what you think. people with irritable bowels syndrome, people who have had or still have colorectal cancer, or any one who has had any similar symptoms……please help.
Symptoms:
1. on many many occasions, i have had flat stools. it comes and it goes…more often it comes.
2. very rarely, i get some mucus when i wipe.
i get a feeling of incomplete evacuations after having a bowel movement. the feeling of still wanting to go remains for some time after the bowel movement. it subsides with time.
3. i tend to go to the bathroom several times per day.
stool is generally formed (solid), but at times it is lose (not quite diarrhea).
4. a feeling of something in the last part of the large intestine…..rectum. like a presence.
5. sudden rectal pain, and discomfort. the pain is not really intense, but it is discomforting.
6. burning sensation in rectum.
7. constipation. i feel the urge to have a bowel movement, but it is hard to pass any stool.
8. some what more gassy that normal.
most of these symptoms are present at one time. other times, i have one or two of them. also, there has been times, just recently, where i get almost all of them at once.
my biggest fear is colorectal cancer.
my questions to those that have had colorectal cancer and survived, and to those who presently have colorectal cancer are:
1. what were/are your symptoms, and do they match mine?
2. when did you first notice any kind of symptoms, and what were they?
3. how did you manage your life during and after?
4. how were you treated?
did you get a colostomy bag, and how did you deal with it?
5. how is your life now?
im getting a barium enema x-ray on friday. by the way, im a 25 year old hispanic male. am i too young?
give me as much info as you can. i want to be well informed.

Getting a list of other people’s symptoms does make you well informed. You do not have typical symptoms of colon cancer and are very young for that. If you are really concerned see a doctor.
