Question by chizu69cheese: Why do I still have stomach pains if I am not eating foods with lactose?
I am 19 years old and have been suffering with bulimia for 5 years. Because of my binge/purge cycle and my addiction to laxatives, I developed Acid Reflux disease, GERD, ulcers, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I just recently found out that I am also lactose intolerant. I have been avoiding all lactose/ dairy products, but I am still experiencing the same pains that I would if I ate lactose/ dairy. I know it’s not any of the previous diseases that I mentioned, so what could it be attributed to? Thanks for your help.

Also, as a side note: I am NOT pregnant. My stomach pains do not resemble pregnancy symptoms, and I have been on birth control for 3 years.

By vitamins i mean probiotics.

Not while you are in BCT or AIT. After your initial entry training, as long as these are legal vitamins, no one will care.

Question by purplekbear2004: i was diagnosed with acid reflex and irritable bowel syndrome, still feel wierd?
i was diagnosed supposedly with ibs and acid reflex. the doc that saw me was a nurse practictioner. she examined me and kept leaving to go talk to the lady that was training her. she couldnt figure out what it was so she sent me to get a couple xrays of my stomach. i suggested to her that maybe it was ibs cuz thats what my mom suggested it sounded like. after the xrays the doc said there was alot of gas bubbles. so they diagnosed me with ibs and acid reflex. my question is, with either of those problems, would i stay bloated for a long time? or get nauseous alot? ive gained weight too which doesnt make sense cuz i dont hardly eat right now cuz my stomach hurts so bad. any suggestions? i’m only 22 with two kids. and this came on suddenly out of nowhere.my friend thinks i’m pregnant, the test came up negative. i dont know. there’s no history in my family of ibs either

Watch what you eat, cause a lot of things will make you sick so write down what makes you sick so you will know what can and can’t eat you will start feeling a lot better.

Okay, have you had a colonoscopy to confirm IBS?
If so, the doctor will most likely have prescribed meds for you.
If not and you are self-diagnosing, you should try adding probiotics to your daily vitamin intake.
They make the world of difference believe me.
Don’t forget to cut out refined and over-processed foods from your diet too.
