Question by Dont ask just take it: smoking and bowel problems… anwser please?
okay ive been smoking for 7 years now, and since 6 years ago i had massive stomach problems, recently im quiting smoking, i looked up the symtoms for my stomach and it says smoking can cause them all, , i have irregular, dierria, and pain that never stops literally, im either always in discomfort, and i get dierria if i dont eat rice or bananas or something with iron, i try to avoid meds like pepto , but i do take stuff like folic acid and a vitamin everyday, recently i had a scare for cancer, i had extremely black stool, but lately its gone away and its now extremely light colors,
i dont care about curing it, just need a way to be able to eat food, it seems to start to adjust to the rice and bananas and now they dont work as well, * i dont drink soda or eat junk either* and im not lactose intolerant, i mean anyone can drink a glass of milk and get dierria thats normal.
um i also get serious amount of gas pains, and thats definitly caused by smoking i can tell,
my question is, do you guys honestly think smoking caused all of this? i was perfectly happy/healthy before i smoked, and i want to know if i quit, will this actually help maybe someone in the world had this exact problem, i thought i had irritable bowel syndrome, but its tooo complex to be that way, cause i never had it until smoking came into my life, i really need suggestions, i cant even get in cars anymore, without panicing and freaking out and then i have massive pains,
i dont know what to do anymore, im 17 and cant live a normal life. and now it seems to be getting worse.. please help with suggestions and ideas on how to fix this,
i do refuse to see a doctor, all they want to do is a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and i already got blood work/catscan/ and a finger in my bum ( ewww)/and a stool sample/ and all came out negative for anything, they said everything was perfectly fine.
please help or atleast ease my mind and give me some confidence
thanks

1. go see a doctor
2. ask to be checked for celiac disease.
3. Smoking is not causing all of this, you are in serious denial about your health condition. Stop being stubborn and get yourself to a gastroenterologist, get tested for celiac.
4. It is NOT normal to drink milk and then have gastric upset.
5. Stop being a baby and get the endoscopy and the colonoscopy. I don’t know what you expect them to figure out if you don’t let them do the tests that allow them to do their jobs.
stop kidding yourself and being so hard headed, the only person you are hurting is literally yourself. Go here for more info about celiac:
