Question by Richard: What are the risks of an terrible illness when you have rectal bleeding ?
I’m an 18 year old male and recently the last couple of months i have realized that i have a problem of rectal bleeding during bowel movements, in my medical history i’ve had irritable bowel syndrome when i was 14 years old but i had no rectal bleeding at then. What could possibly be causing my rectal bleeding as of right now ??

If it is bright red then it is an anal fissure or a hemorrhoid. Not dangerous, but you need to eat better or take fiber pills so you have a softer more frequent bowel movement.
