Question by Brianne M: What are the best products to eat for IBS?
After a bout of terrible stomach cramping I’ve been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. Since I’ve been reccommended a few yogurt products that will be beneficial to my overall digestive health.. which would you reccomend?

DanActive, Activia, Kefir ProBiotic… or something different?
Which of the products above would you recommend. I’m not allergic to gulten or wheat products.

Thanks.

i was also diagnosed with IBS (amongst a plethora of other ailments such as arthritis, bipolar, schizophrenia ~ all redundant diagnoses as it was all simple food intolerances ) and at my own instigation i finally worked out that IBS for me was a BS label for a collection of food intolerances ……….. if i consume anything containing wheat i will get ghastly stomach aches and cramping …….. thing is, the tummy aches only appear 12 hours later making it extremely difficult to pinpoint the cause if you aren’t thinking along those lines ……. try ditching the wheat, pasta, bread products and replace them with organic brown rice or quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) …… if it is a wheat intolerance you will notice a dramatic improvement within 24 hours ……… almost as if by magic !! pretty much you need to stop eating processed and packaged foods and eat loads of leafy and green vegies, brown rice, some lean meats and fishes and some low sugar fruits such as strawberries, watermelons, pears, cantalope and blueberries ……. large ask i know but the results are dramatically beneficial…… also ensure that you stay well hydrated and drink at least 8 glasses of water daily as water is paramount for digestion, neural functioning, transporting nutrients, lubricating your joints, thinking clearly, actually for every single cellular function.

Sadly, when one is intolerant to wheat and the gluten contained therein it usually goes hand in hand with lactose intolerance (inability to digest the lactose contained in milk and dairy products) ……. be aware of your bodies reactions to food that you eat and eat one food at a time …… leaving a 2 – 3 hour gap between milk and dairy products and other foods will tell you whether or not you are intolerant ….. symptoms such as bloating, gassiness, excessive belching and burping, acid reflux, constipation could indicate lactose intolerance.

Buy yourself a book called What your Doctor may Not tell you about IBS ~ by Richard N.Ash, M.D……… and live a pain free, drug free life.

peace baby

I use this site to order the ingredients for the herbal products I make and would like to sell. This company has great credentials, excellent service, and superb quality. Plus, this company has a vast variety of items available, some in large quantities and 99% of the time I can get them for HALF the price that I can get at my local store, which has very little variety compared to this company. I’m very impressed all around.

What would be useful is for you to see a good gastro-enterologist. There is any easy and definitie test they can do for lactose intolerance. Your symptoms might just be the result of pigging out, or something more serious….better get checked out.

And then Probiotics/Acidophilus are prohibited in Canada, Melatonin – in Austria, Belgium and Portugal… Does that mean these supplements are not safe?

I’m referring to Ohhira 12 Plus (Ohhira Mountain Fruits Extracts or OM-X).
Does this supplements help to improve digestion, strengthen the stomach, and improve body immunity?
It claimed that it could even improve on insomnia and tiredness, is that true to you?
Thanks for answering…
