Question by CrAzY_chik: Please Read! People with Gastrointestinal Problems. Chrones disease? IBS? IBD? Celiac Disease?
I am sixteen years old and have been suffering from chronic abdominal discomfort and other symptoms for more than four months. I have constant nausea ( I always feel like I am on the verge of vomiting but never do), abdominal pain ranging from a
mild irritated feeling to sharp cramps (not menstrual), gas, headaches, and debilitating fatigue.. I had an ultrasound and a ct scan a week ago and they both showed that I don’t have gallstones but I do have a large amount of (may be graphic-beware) compacted fecal matter (I warned you). However I have not been feeling constipated. In fact lately I have been having dihherea (occasionally bloody) 4-5 times a day.
I have Celiac disease and I was diagnosed about 4 months ago. And I know that it can take a while to heal but even the doctor doesnt know why its taking so long.
I just feel so sick all the time. Here’s my question: could it be Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Chrones or Ulcerative Colitis) or something els

Your doctor needs to determine the cause. There are a number of things it could be. I would not want to make an armchair diagnosis.

Question by CrAzY_chik: People with gastrointestinal problems: What is wrong with me?

I have a really healthy gluten free diet. I really think that there is something else besides the celiac disease because I am feeling progressively worse instead of better as the days go by.

Please tell me what you experienced with any of your conditions so I can have a better understanding of what I might be dealing with.
Really all the compaction has been cleared by the diherrea I think.

Question by Sarah UK: Do you believe that some people have very high metabolism?
Im 34 and slim. Ive never put any weight on since i was 15. Ive been assessing my daily intake and was shocked to find that I eat 3000 calories a day. My exercise is poor. I had no idea that i was eating that much, i always presumed that it was around 1800 cals a day. im wondering whether i have a digestive problem because I get irritable bowel syndrome type symptoms. I get really bad tummy pains. sometimes. I am reluctant to believe that i have a high metabolism because my mum and sister gain easily.

Question by Natalie: Why do small town people shove food at you all the time?
When I visit my bf in his small town and his parents all these people do is have feasts and keep telling me to eat. I realize it is a hospitable thing and probably just the way small towns are with gatherings, but I am on a diet, am a vegetarian and don’t need desserts thrown at me. How do I handle this. I told people sugar makes me break out really bad. I am about ready to tell them that I am a diabetic to make them layoff on the food. I have to work really hard to maintain the weight I am at. My bf has a high metabolism so he can eat and eat. I thought about saying I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, “anything” so they don’t keep saying here have some of this or here try that. Then they stare at you until you eat it. I cross the border into the other state and all they have is steakhouses. A vegetarian is out of place there. It’s cattle and ranches.

btw-I usually have a bowl of cereal, protein bar and a salad, peanuts, almonds, etc. I do vary this, but I eat light and balanced and I work out a lot to keep the weight off.
