Question by Em: Fungal infections on multiple parts of my body…is there an underlying problem?
I have always had manageable cases of yellow tongue and dandruff. My father has the same. Now my vagina is cracking and itching, and it may be a fungal infection.
My Biology teacher said that a lot of people get dandruff because they wash away the probiotics that should be living on their scalp. Is my whole body deficient in probiotics?
What can I do?
I take a daily shower and have good oral hygiene…*eye roll*

Question by Corey H: Does anyone out there know how to treat deep rooted candida(yeast) infections?
I’m looking for something to kill yeast overgrowth permanently. I eat very clean, and avoid foods that are triggers. I’ve tried probiotics, and as long as I take them everyday I’m fine, but they don’t actually kill the fungus just keep it in control.

Question by mimi: is biotin good for your skin? will taking a biotin pill help prevent frequent yeast infections?
just doing some research and wondering. i already take 3 different kinds of probiotics (incluidng acidsolpholis and rephresh pro-b), garlic capsules, a multi vitamin, cranberry extract pills, azo yeast pills, and oil of oregano.

Best answer:

Answer by Light Beauty
1st question: Yes. Like most vitamins on the market the daily required amount you should take is relatively low and should be taken in measurements of at least 1,000mcg a day to really see the effects it will have on your skin. You don’t have to worry about taking too much biotin and becoming toxic because biotin is a water soluble vitamin and any excess of the biotin can be safely passed out from our body much like salad. I take biotin myself and it does help your skin.

2nd question: I have not heard of any benefits of biotin preventing yeast infections, however biotin is naturally produced in our colons from the good bacteria that lives there. It seems you are taking quite a few of very good supplements that produce the good bacteria in your digestive system thus naturally producing biotin in your body.
