Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment

Question by Archer: My girlfriend wants to break up with me because I have gas?
I have irritable bowel syndrome and i get bad gas when i eat certain foods… like pizza, and especially fish. I eat artificial crab meat and it gives me gas for about 3 hours. My girlfriend thinks that i’m trying to stink her out, but, i’m not. Sometimes I hold them in, but then they build up when i let one out and its a huge burst of hanging stench.

should I keep eating the foods that i like that give me serious orderful gas or should I end the relationship? I’m in a bind.
