Question by joe: can you please tell me which kind of dog food is best for newfoundland male?
i feed my dog beneful and he has been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. he has frequent diarrhea and belly pain. The vet also suspects he has colitis and I am going to take him to vet for further testing. The vet thinks he is allergic to corn. So i remove pieces of corn with my hand from the beneful packet. I now think beneful may have contributed to his IBS and suspected colitis. If so, then what should I feed him?

Question by Kyle: Problem with digestion of food.?
I have had ibs for a number of years and cant really find anything to slow it down or fix it. I have seen a doctor or two, and they diagnosed me with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Usually after eating a a meal i will have a lose stool. what i don’t understand is if i have had a solid bowel movement, why almost immediately after having a meal do i have a lose bowel movement.

My daily symptoms include

Lose stool (usually after a meal) These lose stools are sometimes the exact meals i have just eatin, i know this because i can see some of the food.
Hard stool in the mornings
stomach cramps
anal cramps

and i have recently been seeing blood on the toilet paper.

Any suggestions advice or similiar experinces are welcomed.

I suggest that you post this in a relevant forum, not the diabetes forum, as your question does not have anything to do with diabetes.

Question by Noémie: What wet pouches food should I choose for my cat ?
- past: constipations
- 2 acute diarrhea recentely
- CRF
- is not eating
- can’t eat canned
- musn’t have another diarrhea

Is eating Virbac vitamin paste, is ok with Whiskas cat milk and has just started it, and I’ve ordered Mercola pet probiotics for her.

I looked here, but can be another type of food:

I’ll try Whiskas fish.
What do you think about Kattovit sensitive mono-protein fish ? Looks like sheba, but doesn’t say it’s white fish.

Question by d_town86: Why can I not keep my food down?
I had taken a full body cleanse about 2 weeks and afterward I have not been able to keep my food down. I will eat a small meal and instantly feel the urge to gag/throw up or later in the day after I have eaten some other meal I will throw up my food. I believe it to be the full body cleanse I took and possible flushed everything out of my system. I am taking probiotics and I haven’t felt a difference in how I am feeling.

Question by Natalie: Why do small town people shove food at you all the time?
When I visit my bf in his small town and his parents all these people do is have feasts and keep telling me to eat. I realize it is a hospitable thing and probably just the way small towns are with gatherings, but I am on a diet, am a vegetarian and don’t need desserts thrown at me. How do I handle this. I told people sugar makes me break out really bad. I am about ready to tell them that I am a diabetic to make them layoff on the food. I have to work really hard to maintain the weight I am at. My bf has a high metabolism so he can eat and eat. I thought about saying I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, “anything” so they don’t keep saying here have some of this or here try that. Then they stare at you until you eat it. I cross the border into the other state and all they have is steakhouses. A vegetarian is out of place there. It’s cattle and ranches.

btw-I usually have a bowl of cereal, protein bar and a salad, peanuts, almonds, etc. I do vary this, but I eat light and balanced and I work out a lot to keep the weight off.
