Question by Sammy ding a ling: Why does my lower stomach hurt every time I cough? And how I can I put a stop to this?
I have had a cough for a few days now, but today it is worse and at school my lower stomach started hurting every time I coughed (so I tried not to but that failed). Someone told me it might be abdominal pain or a cyst, but I do not know. Also I was wondering if it might have to do with my irritable bowel syndrome?
it doesn’t matter how hard or soft i cough..it hurts all the same. but if my cough is bigger it hurts more. very sharp

Well first off you may just be having muscle cramps because your coughs are going to clench your lower stomach. I wouldn’t be concerned with serious things like a cyst, trust me. You would have noticed that before now. I get this a lot after I’ve worked out in the past week, and I laugh or cough. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. But if it doesn’t go away after you short sickness, just talk to your parents, they’ll let you know if its something to worry about.

Question by Baller 4 Life: I take dump every morning before school and for the past few weeks, I’ve had to take dumps at school too..WTF?
I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. But still, if I take a dump before school, I should be good for at least the end of school. But for the past few weeks, I’ve been scared that I have to take a dump at school and I end up taking one. How can I stop being scared that I have to take a dump at school? I hate this!!

Answer by Men’s Health
Don’t be scared. its good taking a dump. It gets all the bacteria and the bad residue out of your system. Same thing with urinating. Taking a dump consistently shows that you have a good amount fiber level.

Question by 763: i am fed up of going to the toilet every 5 mins ?
i am always going to the toilet, i must go something like 6 times a day. i eat well, i am an athlete, but its not nerves because im not training at the moment cos im injured. could it be that i have too much bad bacteria and not enough good bacteria, should i start taking probiotics ? will this help ?

Best answer:

Answer by Elly
U might have a UTI (urinary tract infection), you might have an enlarged prostate that is pushing on your bladder making you feel like you have to pee, wait a min. You said toilet every 5 mins, but then you said 6 times a day. 6 times a day is good, normal, it flushes the bladder out and keeps it healthy, if that’s the case and there’s no pain when you pee don’t worry about it.

Question by Adam: Could an increase in fiber make me go from having a BM once every two days to having 2 BM’s a day?
Up until August I was having one comfortable bowel movement a day, then I guess my high fat diet took its toll on me and got me constipated to the point where I’d have a straining BM every other day. This lasted through November. I started eating more fruits and veggies within this time period, and in December I got a stomach virus that gave me bad diarrhea. Since then, I’ve been going, for the most part, twice a day, though sometimes I still strain. I eat one or two salads a day (w/ cucumbers and broccoli) and usually have either an apple or a banana. Is this okay? Does irritable bowel syndrome cause changing bowel habits? I have been stressed out lately. Also, how constipated or how much diarrhea would I have if I had a colorectal tumor? Just wondering…

BTW I’m an 18 year old male w/ no family history of colorectal cancer. I work out every other day and a month ago my blood work came back totally normal.
