Question by : Feeling as though I’m getting full quicker, nausea after meals, constipation. What could it be?
I’m 17, and a male. I usually feel sick in the morning, mainly after or during breakfast, and it usually goes away a while before lunch around 12:30. Also, lately, I’ve been feeling full more easily than usual after a meal, and sometimes I feel a little sick too, but I don’t throw up. A few days ago I did end up throwing up, but it was after working hard all day and I think I just may have been dehydrated, or food poisoning from a burger I had eaten 5-6 hours earlier. I’m very unsure and really would appreciate some help with this. Also I have been a little constipated now and then too. My BM seems to be a little more irregular than usual. Sometimes a little more than normal, usually not less. Could it be stress? Irritable Bowel Syndrome? I don’t know, and I’m worried what it could be. Please help! Also: My one uncle has chrome’s disease too, but I don’t know if that means somehow it could be hereditary and I got it too or something. As you can tell I have a lot of symptoms, but no answers for what the source is.
First off, thanks to everyone for responding so quickly.

To Barcode:
I almost never eat fast food, I was returning from a camp I visited to work at and on my way home stopped at a restaurant for a quick lunch.
I don’t smoke, drink, or do drugs, although I used to more than over a year ago now, but I have completely stopped doing all of those things.
I do try to eat healthy every day and I lift weights every day (chest and back (day one), arms and abs (day two)), play tennis almost every other, and run occasionally.
As for water, I’ve been trying to drink more, but still find myself lacking some days.
And I could use more fruits, but get a decent amount of vegetables.
I do use computer occasionally, for school work mostly, but video games are fairly rare occasion for me.
I get 8 or more hours of sleep almost every night. Stress may be a problem though.

To Pacey:
Thanks, I’ll try and get it checked out.

To Eddie:
Thanks, I’ll ask my Doctor and google Chron’s Disease.

Once again,

Eat healthy, get plenty of fresh air, sunshine & exercise, exercise, exercise.
Drink LOTS OF WATER to help keep the traffic moving.
Snack on plenty of RAW fruit & veggies to put fiber into your system.
Get off the computer & stop playing video games & get moving.
Get 8 hours sleep each nite. Avoid stress.

Question by haylifer: IBS: Constipation, skin burning, uncomfortable trapped gas for over a week?
I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and over the past week I have had some very strange symptoms. Usually my IBS gives me grief for only a few hours once in a while where I will have very extreme pain until all the constipated stools, gas and diarrhea has been passed. This week it has been different; I have not been able to pass anything except a small amount of diarrhea. My abdomen feels bloated to the point of constant discomfort and I can feel trapped gas moving throughout the whole of my digestive tract. My lower back aches, which is not unusual for me when constipated, but also I have been feeling a strange burning sensation on the left side of my lower abdomen which at times makes it necessary to shift the waistband of my pants so it’s not touching that area. Something which could be unrelated is that I am experiencing much more frequent indigestion. I’m 21 years old and do have a poor diet and unactive lifestyle, though I’m not overweight. I have suffered from acute megacolon when I was younger and I’m a little worried that it has returned, especially as the skin burning sensation could possibly be neuralgia from a compressed nerve? I’m going on holiday abroad next week and though the symtoms right now aren’t unbearable, I’m starting to worry that things could get worse. I’ve been taking lactulose and senna for the past few days but that seems to be doing nothing. I’ve just made an appointment with my GP too. What I really want to know is could this be suggestive of something that could be serious, e.g. a blockage?

Question by BloodBottle: What diseases does constipation indicate on an 18 y.o. ?
I’ve been living with this symptom for about 2 years, and through “constipation” I understand the following: passing stools out is difficult and I only pass them once per week, 2 sometimes.

I’ve been at the doctor several times already, only to be informed I’m being too young for something serious, I am not checked for anything therefore no concrete diagnosis, but a presumed Irritable Bowel Syndrome – all my doctors gave me a list of meds that have no effect, sometimes causing me a lot of pain, such as when you feel you’re about to have a diarrhea but you can’t pass it out.

I have a regular diet, I drink very low alcohol, and I do not smoke. What could the causes be? Oh, the only thing is that I don’t do sports.
very little alcohol*

maybe your fiber intake is low or perhaps you are intolerant to some product that you consume regularly….i would recommend going back to the doctor and asking him to explain to you in detail what exactly is it that he believes the problem is and why is he not doing further investigations into your case…i do not think there is a serious problem here and believe once the doctor has explained all this to you you’ll be at ease with the situation and will be able to cope better….hope your problem goes away soon….

Question by Mook: What do I do if my TB has constipation?
My TB (Tiny Baby) has IBSC (Irritable Bowel Syndrome – Constipation) and as a result she is doing TBSC (Tiny Baby Scowl). What do I give her to cure both the IBSC and TBSC? Would AJ (Apple Juice) work?

Answer by gre9467
First consider what caused the constipation and delete that from the diet for a time. If you cannot pinpoint the cause, use Caro Light Syrup. Just add a couple of teaspoons to the formula every other feeding until the constipation subsides. ( If you breastfeed, you should pump your milk and use a bottle for the brief time that it will take to get over the constipation). Make sure that it is the Caro Light Syrup and not the dark or the vanilla flavored.
