Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment

have a 4 weeks old baby that is very gassy and cranky all the time he seems like he is in constant pain i just started using powder probiotics today was wondering if they have worked for anyone any other suggestions??

I am seeing my pediatrician today and I am going to be asking her if there are any medications that might help my colicky month old son. Anyone ever have meds prescribed for colic? If so what was it and did it actually help? i also read that probiotic drops might help by aiding the babies immature digestive system. Anyone try them? I am desperate to find a way to help my little guy.
