Question by mykidsrcuter: Any Parents of children with Autism out there?
Hi My daughter is 29 months old and has Autism. I just wanted to see what you are currently using/doing to help your child? What you liked… what you didn’t? Also any helpful hints in dealing with Regional Center?

We have been to a DAN! Doctor and have started Super-Nu Thera & Probiotics. She is being tested today for food allergies in which if needed will start the GF/CF diet. She is in ABA- 2 hours a day Speech- 2 hours a week and OT- 2 hours a week.

The most important thing to remember about autistic folks is that they are not broken and do not need to be fixed. They are just wired differently and need tools to help them cope and function within society.

My son, now 15, is high functioning autistic/Aspergers. The critical issue with his schooling was always getting the administration to stop treating him as damaged and to hold him accountable for actions while at the same time giving him some leeway in social situations.

Don’t be afraid to involve official agencies and don’t let your child be underrated.

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and has for the last 4 days been unable to go poop. She goes a little , but not normal. She always looks in a great deal of pain when attempting, but can’t push a good one out.
