Question by dylan: What is the cause of my chest pains?
I am 19 years old, and about a month ago, I woke up in the middle of the night to some severe abdominal pain. I ignored it, thinking it was just my stomach digesting.. later during that week, the pains would go up into the lower right side of my chest. I went into the emergency room, and I was told by the ER Doctor, that I have a form of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). He gave me a prescription to take (3) three times per day, everyday, and follow up with my doctor. I took the medication for a few days, but did not keep with it consistently. The pains, and problems going to the bathroom went away for a little over a week. They returned again afterwards, I was thinking because I did not take my medication like I was supposed to. Now, I have the pains into my chest, I have abdominal pain- and problems going to the bathroom. Sometimes, I have trouble breathing, and all this happens primarily when I am stressed out, or upset. These pains last for an hour every couple hours per day, depending on what I am doing, and where my anxiety level is. I am wondering if these pains are just the chronic symptoms that I will have to learn to live with, lack of sleep, proper diet, and high stress, or something more serious- such as respiratory diseases, illnesses, or even certain cancers. Any ideas, advice, or suggestions? Thanks.

Question by mouse kisser: Can aspirin cause Bradycardia?
I take aspirin often because of all pain from the inflammation I get. Here are all inflammation issues I get often…

1. Joints ache
2. Inflamed sinus (causes headaches)
3. Swollen veins (they become very uncomfortable)
4. Hands and finger joints swell
5. Puffy face and eyes
6. Sore swollen throat in morning
7. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
8. Heavy water retention & bloating, sometimes 8-11 lbs in one day
FYI – the only thing I have constantly is #1. The rest all come and go.

My doctor just found that I have Bradycardia (a slow heart rate). I was fainting often and we are doing tests for further evaluation. I heard that aspirin can slow the heart rate. So I am curious, could I have caused this from taking all the aspirin?
I aslo get peptic uclers.

I AM ONLY NINETEEN YEARS OLD!!!! I feel like an old person with these symptoms

=’[
Can someone answer please???!!!

Some of the more common causes of joint pain are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, infectious diseases, overuse, tendinitis or bursitis. While everyday activity can cause stress on joints, these conditions can further aggravate the erosion. Another factor is loss of the synovium, a membrane that covers the ends of the bones and produces a thick fluid called synovial fluid.

The symptoms of joint pain can include warmth, swelling, stiffness, loss of function and redness. Not all the symptoms may be present, and there are others you could be having. Often some of these symptoms can cause others, and usually they are flu-like. These include fever, headaches, fatigue, chills and loss of appetite.

Over 80 percent of the body is made up of fluid. When the cartilage loses its spongy quality, motion in the joints will cause it to wear away. While there are some supplements that can assist your body in absorbing what it needs from food, the best way to help your joints is to drink enough water every day.

Synovium is a membrane that covers the ends of the bones and produces a thick fluid called synovial fluid. This fluid allows the parts of the joint to slide instead of grind. If the joint is diseased or damaged, the synovium gets inflamed and will actually invade and assist in the erosion of cartilage.

Chondroitin, taken in addition with glucosamine, can assist the body in absorbing the necessary nutrients and fluid. Both occur naturally in the body, and when taken together have been proven by the National Institutes of Health to lessen pain.If your symptoms are persistent,I suggest you to see your family doctor. Good luck and take care of your health Always!
