Question by esisters2000: Can a candida cleanse be done sucessfully with a diet ?
Currently I am taking probiotics, oil of oreganol, and citricidal
I suffer from chronic sinus infections.
The bad thing is I use a steroid inhaler for asthma, and often take prednisone for chronic nasal blocks…
I can’t smell anything unless Im on prednisone for awhile. Taste is diminished. My nasal passages don’t have polyps either…had that checked out. Am tired all the time, foggy mind.
Help….any suggestions are welcome.

What about peppermint, hot peppers, mustard?

Question by craven: Can I Take probiotics while taking herbs to kill candida?
I am taking this stuff its identical to yeast max, exact same ingredients too…

and it kills candida, and i was wondering if i take it right before a meal, then eat….a few hours later can i take probiotics or yogurt?

The lady at the herb store said that it would kill the good bacteria and it would be a waste, is this true? if so would it make die off worse?

or would probiotics like danactive with l.casei help?

Actually, yes, the probiotics help quite a bit to control yeast growth. In fact, the best way to prevent yeast growth issues (yeast infections, thrush, etc) is to take probiotics on a regular basis.
I don’t see why any herbs that cleanse candida would kill probiotics unless it is an antibiotic (which medicinal/beneficial herbs aren’t). If you could E-mail me a list of the ingredients or a link to a site with the ingredients for that product, I can take a look for you.

[edit]: Yeah, those are mostly for health of your liver, urinary tract/kidneys, immune system, and other parts of the body. I don’t see any reason those would hurt probiotics, not to mention the fact that if they killed the probiotics, that would encourage the Candida to come back later anyway. You’re good to go with that and probiotics.

I am about to start a candida cleanse (for the intestine). My question is should I take probiotics simultaneously with the cleanse, or complete the cleanse first and then take probiotics?

I am searching on line and in books and finding contradicting information. I have read that garlic (fresh), fresh juiced carrots (not store purchased juic), grape seed extract, olive leaf extract and something called pau d’arco help eliminate and then I have to take probiotics not to mention a “candida diet”- can’t find consistent info on what a good candida diet would even be…. help!
