Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment

Question by harryhood: Why do I have white coating (oral thrush) on my tongue again?
I had a bad throat infection a couple of weeks ago and was treated with clindamycin. Now I was using probiotic yogurt drinks but did not drink any for a few days and now I have this white coating on my tongue again. This same coating appeared when my infection went away but now it is back?

What does this mean? Should I consume more probiotics? Could it be some underlying condition? I don’t think it’s HIV because I’ve never had sex or used needles.

ive had thrush so many times from antibiotics its not even funny. lay off the yogut thrush is yeast which is like mold in your mouth umm just clean your tounge with a tounge cleaner and get nystatin swish and swallow thats what they gave me. youll have to go to the doctor but itll be fine!

Yes, you can take probiotics daily. When taking an antibiotic it is even MORE important to take probiotic capsules as you need more “good” bacteria to replace what is killed off by the antibiotic.
