Question by Rebecca: I became sensitive, not allergic, to eggs as an adult, can it be cured?
I am sensitive to digesting eggs, but I don’t have an allergic reaction, like hives or trouble breathing when I eat them. It gives me cramps, etc. I became sensitive to them about a year ago. I also found out I was was gluten intolerant as well. Does anyone know of a cure for that kind of sensitivity? Do you think detoxing or probiotics would work?

There are some enzyme capsules you can buy, they help with the break down of food. But really the only way to avoid these symptoms is to avoid the food. You may be able to slowly introduce these foods back into your diet.

A little background: I’m a 45yr old female who is in relatively good health except I’ve had some digestive issues for a while. In the past, I’ve treated this with probiotics, specifically, “Primadophilus Bifidus” and have received decent results. I also exercise regularly and keep my weight down to around 125-130(5′4″). I went on vacation a few weeks ago and admittedly ate not so healthy. As a result, I returned home to the same digestive issues that have plagued me previously. I started taking the primadophilus again(which I didn’t do for 10 days on vacation due to refrigeration or lack thereof) but notiving that I was almost out, I went to WholeFoods this evening to buy some more. However, when I picked up a bottle of the shelf, an older man who seemed to work in that department told me that I needed “Udo’s” probiotics instead, specifically, the one labeled “Advanced Adult” formula. He said it was much better (keep in mind that I didn’t say anything to this man about my digestive problems). Anyway, I figured, what the heck, I’d give it a try. When I got home, I then noticed that the bottle said for age 55 . I’m now thinking, WTF? Why did this man recommend this formula to me? Do I look 55 or is this such a great formula that it’s appropriate for those under 55 and perhaps he recommends it to everyone. Opinions? (Please, no mean answers).
