I was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) about 3 months ago
I have a question, Is it normal with IBS to have some blood in the stool?
Just curious because I remember the doctor saying something about blood but I wasn’t sure.
And if it happens I don’t want to freak out if its part of it. I really don’t recall what he said.
I’m just doing research on it and trying to find out what is normal with IBS and what is not.

Yeah I am not on any meds for it. Being that I am only 22. They want me to correct it with diet first….if that doesn’t work we will try meds but I don’t want to be on meds the rest of my life

i have ibs to…but i take pills for it when my tummy hurts…but i dont recal there ever being blood in stool though. best bet is to call the doc and ask. or research online

I’m not sure about the blood in the stool related to IBS.But having an irregualar bowel movement causes other problems too like piles,haemorrhoids and anal fissures.i’ve suffered from them because i used to have irregualr bowel movement and eat a lot of spicy food.
There are ways to help out though…..
