    what do ur docs say? that can be a very serious issue and end in chromes disease. nothing to take lightly. i would try to have ur doctor explain to ur father how much it is real and how much pain u are in. if u have not seen one u really need to try to see a doc. don’t know how old u r but u could always make ur own appointment if ur father doesn’t agree. if money is an issue look for a clinic in your area that will treat you…good luck. i hope u feel better.

    If your IBS is progressing to a point where you get little to no relief, I advise going to the doctor. As for your father…take him with you.

    Sometimes eating a thing of yogurt a day helps balance you out. It’s worth a try.

    Try mastic gum, get it at the local health store, not the internet. I’ve tried both and what I bought over the net did me no good. I don’t have the condition you have, but mastic gum is effective with many digestive/stomach disorders, and it’s almost instant relief so it may help you. Also, stay clear of carbs as much as you can, and consider a sea salt water flush as many days of the week as you can.

    Consider also a second opinion, I know someone diagnosed with that and it turned out to be something even worse. He found out too late.

    this can get worse and worse.. you may get crohn’s disease and that means your intestines will bleed. you don’t want that do you? please go to a doctor, that’s very serious.

    It may be something in your diet. If you regularly consume processed foods, like table sugar, bleached flour, anything like that, try taking it out of your diet and see if that helps. Other than that I’m not sure.

    You have to eat both types of fiber: soluble and insoluble.

    Most people think of insoluble fibers when they think of fiber (such as whole wheat bread, grains, etc.), but for people with IBS who have more sensitive bowels, they can make our symptoms worse if we don’t balance it out with soluble fibers such as rice, oatmeal, pasta, and white bread.

    I didn’t believe it at first, until I had a bad episode and ate some rice a little bit at a time, and my symptoms were relieved within the hour.
