Question by AMY: how soon we see results with infant probiotics?
Starting our daughter on a probiotic and wondering how soon we will see results and will she become more irritable for a bit?

I thought probiotics were just to help build the immune system; what results are you looking for?

do you mean antibiotics?
with antibiotics you should see results within a couple of days.
She may be irritable but if she’s on antibiotics she is sick so she will be grouchy anyway.
With probiotics you might notice her getting sick less but that’s about it.

Have you cleared this with your pediatrician? I don’t see any reason why a child should need this.

What results are you looking for?
If your using a probiotic to clear up some bad bacteria or yeast in her stomach then it could take a while before you see any results and it also could cause her to be a bit moody while the bad bacteria/yeast is dying off. It can also cause some diarrhea.
