I haven&#039;t checked out the prices of tablet forms of these things to compare. Probiotics produce &quot;good&quot; bacteria in the digestive system, to fight off &quot;bad&quot; bacteria. It&#039;s important to have this balance, especially after taking anti-biotics. Anti-biotics will kill even the &quot;good&quot; bacteria.

Since a lot of &quot;good&quot; bacteria is made in the gut that seems to suggest something about the importance of a healthy diet.

Anti-oxidants are substances that help your body fight of diseases, and &quot;probiotics&quot;  fall under this category. Another substance that is an anti-oxidant is vitamin C.
