I personally reccommend to my customers to start the probiotics after the antibiotics. Most antibiotics will kill off the probiotics, reguardless of what anyone says unless it states on the bottle that it is resistant to antibiotics. Most are not and its a waste of time and money taking them. I would wait about 5 days before commencing a probiotic as the antibiotic will still be active in youre system. Anti biotics kill off all bacteria and it makes no difference taking them at different times, all is destroyed. I sell a brand in a health shop that I run that is a strain of good bacteria that is antibiotic resistant but its a practitioner line so it must be ok’d by youre healthpractioner first. I tell my customers to take the probiotic for at least one month after the antibiotics as you need that time to set up the colony of good bacteria, just follow the instructions on the packet of whichever ones you buy, and if you can keep taking them for longer, even better, most people benefit from taking them long term. Good luck!

Antibiotics not only kill harmful bacteria that are making you sick, they also destroy the beneficial flora in your gut and can promote the development of resistant organisims in your body.
To restore the helpful organisims be sure to take the acidophilus, 1-2 caps., after each meal, or 3 times a day. You should begin taking acidophilus as soon as you are on antibiotics and for 1 more week following the end of the course of antibiotics. It will not interfere at all with the antibiotics.
My 8 year old son is just started amoxicillan today for strep throat and he knows I will also give him the acidophilus to help prevent the diarrhea. I empty a capsule in his juice and shake it up – it’s flavorless so he dosen’t mind taking this at all. It’s perfectly safe so keep taking it!

take the two on opposite schedules, take the antibiotic at six am, the probiotic at noon, the antibiotic at six pm and the probiotic at midnight.
