When You First Start Taking Probiotics And Or Probiotic Yogurts Is It Normal To Get Brief Stomach Cramps?

That’s a possibility if the probiotic is moving some junk out that doesn’t want to be moved. If the person’s intestines are inflamed, then it wouldn’t be surprising if the stuff that was moving out…which is typically pro-inflammatory garbage…did cause a bit of upset.
Usually probiotics don’t cause any problems, but if it’s in the beginning and the stomach cramps are brief, then maybe so.

PS. More than likely, it’s the yogurt that is the culprit. you might stick to taking probiotic supplements.

probiotics usually do not cause stomach cramps. probiotic yogurts are a marketing gimmic…get your probiotics at a health food store from the refrigerated section only. they are living organisms so get them cold and store them in your ‘frig at home.

absolutely, this is caused by the probiotic action breaking down the material stuck on the walls of your intestines. Yogurts taste good and are good for you providing you don’t eat the ones that are loaded with sugar…but a good probiotic
with Billions of cultures is the way to go. eventually the cramping will in time go away ………

When you first take yogurt, you will have diarrhoea type of motion, but don’t worry, its cleaning your bowel of all the impurities. If you continue to take yogurt everyday, there won’t be any pain, you will be very happy to realise that your motion is very easy, not need to use force. I have been taking yogurt everyday for the past 4 years, making them myself. Everyday I will take one cup. Yogurt is good for women, it prevents yeast infection, give you nice skin, less sickness, help with your bowel problem [depend on what kind of problem, naturally]. You can check its benefits in the internet. Now all the supermarkets sell different types and flavours of yogurt. Even milk powder for children have probiotic added. It is also good for children to take daily if possible to avoid being sick.
