If it is for stomach upset, I think you would do better using the plain (not extra strength) Pepcid A/C. Quarter the tablet and give 1/4 tab once each day. I have never done that myself. I used to put a sprinkle of baking soda on Cameo's meat to reduce acidity in her stomach which can occur when the kidneys are not up to snuff.
